A model, or Large Language Model a set of parameters that are a representation of language. Models are typically trained on natural language and allow the production of natural language outputs.
Many fine tuned versions of the LLaMA model and similar models have been released, however not all have the same quality or use cases and older models can be dated. A list of appropriate models can be found in the wiki of r/LocalLLaMA. As at August 2023, high quality models for specific tasks include:
- Assistant chatting like ChatGPT - Vicuna v1.3, Open Assistant LLaMA, Orca Mini v2
- Coding - WizardCoder V1.0
- Writing stories or interactive fiction - Guanaco, Airoboros 1.4
- Character chatting/roleplay - Nous-Hermes, Pygmalion, Wizard Vicuna
- Medical domain - MedAlpaca, MedLLaMA
- Visual instruction - LLaVA, InstructBLIP
